Spanish Conversation Courses (CAA)  -  Registration is currently closed.

Would you like to supplement your Spanish lessons with additional practice with students at your level and with Ticos who will help you improve your Spanish?  Or if you are not yet taking Spanish classes,  perhaps you’d like to dip a toe in the water - so to speak -  with our Survival Spanish Classes.

Three levels are offered:  And please don’t worry that these levels are set in stone.   If, during the first day of class, you feel you are misplaced, then we will change you as long as we don’t exceed 8 students in one class.

Level I - Survival Spanish:    These students are total “newbies”to the Spanish language.   Each teacher approaches this differently, but basically you will learn present tenses, pronouns, ”be”verbs, and basic vocabulary for grocery shopping, vet care,  etc.  IF you have taken this level before, but feel you might want/need to repeat it, don’t worry, that is fine.

Level II - High Beginner Spanish:  These students need to know some present tense verbs and some basic vocabulary, but they will not have yet ventured into the deeper waters of past or future.

Level III - Low Intermediate:  Students in this higher level group need to have had formal lessons for at least a  year and be conversant in present, past and future tenses.
.

Please email Susan Knab,  nurese@aol.com if you have any questions.

Professional or semi- professional interested Jazz: Joe Anello would be a great contact.

The bottom line is musicians, once-was musicians, and wannabe musicians interested in learning, refreshing, gigging, or teaching contact John--any instrument--he can probably put you in touch with someone who is interested in doing what you are.

Pickleball: Great sport and lots of fun, pickleball is a cross between tennis, badminton and ping pong. It is easy to learn and not too hard on the body. It is currently played at the Santiago Community Center on weekday mornings.  For playing time and beginner’s clinics contact, Tony Horpel or for more info on the game visit http://www.usapa.org/.
