The Cultural and Social Committee supports and facilitates a variety of programs in several areas as summarized below. Community Social Action Programs

The Committee is committed to creating opportunities for Expats to work with locals in giving back to their communities. The Committee’s activities are for the benefit of our adopted community and its organizations that make a positive social impact - whether it’s donating proceeds from our various fundraisers, or actively being involved in their projects.

Cultural Programs

The Committee endeavors to interact with and support local cultural organizations and programs. This includes building relationships with local organization leaders, promotion of their activities, and co-sponsoring and participating in their events.

Fundraising

The Committee produces fundraisers to support the Committee’s programs that attract both locals and expats.

Social Acculturation

The Committee produces ‘Social’ activities – as in organized entertainment to facilitate visibility for the organization, attract new members and create an opportunity for camaraderie, and ‘Acculturation’– as in establishing programs to help CAA members adapt to their new home.
